EHERCC is delighted to announce that Dr Robin Young MBChB, MRCP, MSc, PhD, a clinical oncologist based at the Weston Park Hospital in Sheffield, northern England, has agreed to join the Research and Medical Advisory Team (RMAT) of the EHE Rare Cancer Charity. Dr Young is a specialist of sarcoma and lung cancer.

Hugh Leonard, Chair of Trustees, commented “we are very excited to have Dr Young joining our battle against EHE. We send him our thanks for agreeing to support our EHE cause, and of course a very warm welcome.”

Dr Young is also well known to the sarcoma team at the Royal Marsden Hospital. He has worked with Dr Robin Jones, and has written research papers with Prof van de Graaf, and Prof Judson, also from the Sarcoma Unit at the Royal Marsden. He clearly will be a very strong addition to our RMAT.”

Being based in Sheffield, EHERCC hopes that Dr Young may also be able to act as a focal point for EHE patients in the north of England. Weston Park also has a very strong research capability, including a dedicated clinical trial unit. EHERCC hopes that we may soon be able to explore the possibility of the Weston Park joining our ongoing research programme.
