EHERCC is delighted to be able to report that the charity has secured twenty places on the brand new London Landmarks Half Marathon (LLHM) that will be held for the first time on 25th March 2018. EHERCC is now starting the process of offering these places to its existing supporters, many of whom have run for the charity before. “We are excited to have secured these places” said Hugh Leonard, Chair of Trustees. “We had hoped to be able to get charity places in the London marathon but that is virtually impossible for small and new charities as the places are mostly locked up by the mega-charities, so being part of the LLHM is wonderful”.
The EHERCC places on the LLHM run have been secured thanks to the generosity of a single supporter of the charity. “We are very grateful for this gesture” said Jeff Collins, a Trustee of the charity. “In the last eighteen months we have had supporters running marathons, half marathons, ultra-marathons, 10k and 5k runs to raise funds. We look forward to having a group of runners representing the charity in this new race next year.”
