Nicola Henderson is a young mother, and EHE patient, who lives in Yate, close to Bristol. Diagnosed with EHE in 2014, Nicola is attending the Royal Marsden Hospital in London. After visiting the Marsden for regular scans and consultations, Nicola often communicates through Facebook with her friends, and frequently refers to keeping her spirits up by wearing her ‘positive pants’. It was after one of these trips in March that two of Nicola’s closest friends, Leanne Woodruff and Kerry Marks decided to do even more to support Nicola, and so launched the #positive pants campaign.
There are just four very easy steps to take part, designed to help us spread the #positivepants spirit and also raise funds for critical EHE rare cancer research!
take a photo of yourself, wearing, waving, displaying, shaking, jiggling, hanging your most positive pants;
text EHEC88 £3 to 70070 to make a £3 donation;
post your photo on Facebook (and or) twitter, Instagram etc, with this message: "Here I am in my #positivepants in support of EHE Research";
then tag 5 friends, mention them in your post, and nominate them to take part.
Some people have included their pets, some have included whole families, clubs, gyms, football teams, grandparents to young babies, in fact anything that you can think of. Over 600 people have already participated, but Nicola hopes that a lot more will join the campaign and help the fight against EHE rare cancer.
All funds will automatically pass to the EHE Rare Cancer Charity. 100% of the funds raised by the #positivepants campaign will be used to fund EHE research.
And a huge #positivepants thank you to Nicola, Leanne and Kerry for thinking of, and initiating, the whole campaign.
