Excellent participation in PROM QOL study

On September 10 th Marije Weidema, one of the researchers behind the PROM Quality of Life Study for EHE Patients being undertaken in Holland updated the charity with the excellent news that 114 patients have taken part in the study by completing the online questionnaire. EHERCC publishes its Annual Report and Financial Statements for 2017

The EHERCC is delighted to be able to confirm that its Annual Report and Financial Statements for 2017 have been issued, following completion of the Independent Examiners review at the end of July. Jeff Collins noted “2017 was another very good year for the charity. We received unbelievable support from so many people, raising over £170,000 for EHE research”. EHE4 ride in the Amstel Prudential RideLondon 100 Team Event

The 29th July was the date for the 2018 Prudential RideLondon 100 cycling event, and the EHERCC were delighted to be represented by a four-man team in the Amstel Team event. Dominic Steinitz, Scott Milligan, Mark Schaffer and Nik Brown had all been in intense training. Zebrafish research project started in Sheffield

The EHERCC is delighted to announce the start of a collaboration between the Bateson Centre at the University of Sheffield and Dr Rubin to explore the feasibility of creating a valid EHE model using Zebra Fish.

Dr Rubin’s drug screening assay is progressing well

Dr Rubin’s drug screening study is going well. His team successfully transferred the screen to the Case Western Reserve Drug Screening Core where they screened a 1400 compound repurposed chemotherapy library and a 50,000 molecule Chembridge drug-like compound library. They are in the process of running compounds identified in the primary screen through their pipeline to focus on the most promising molecules for drug development.
